Call for Abstracts & Special Sessions

The Organizing Committee of the 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (13 ICG) invites all infrastructure and sustainability stakeholders to get involved with the presentations program at 13 ICG, 13 – 17 September 2026 in Montreal. 13 ICG will bring together more than 1,000 leading civil engineers, researchers, regulators, material manufacturers, and sustainability and climate change experts for days of technical exchange, best practice sharing, and commercial development around geosynthetic materials in Sustainability, Transportation Infrastructure, Climate Change Response, Mining, Energy, Environmental Protection, and more.

This international exchange is held every four years. 13 ICG marks the first time the gathering will be held in Canada.

The program of the 13 ICG will include special sessions, panels, interviews and posters. Proceedings will include full papers and extended abstracts.

13 ICG seeks submissions for:

  • Special sessions: Special sessions are reserved for Knowledge Societies and Industry Associations. This includes panel discussions, expert interviews, design training sessions, and other innovative formats. We invite representatives from knowledge societies to contact ckelsey@minervatri.com if they are interested in participating in a special session.
  • Technical Contributions: A variety of options are offered for individual contributions. Proceedings may include either a traditional publication or an extended abstract, limited to 2 pages. Contribution to the conference may be in the form of an oral presentation or a poster. Priority will be given to the submissions in the following order, and to the limit of the space and time available.
    1. Paper + oral presentation
