The 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (13 ICG) will bring together more than 1,000 leading civil engineers, researchers, regulators, material manufacturers, and sustainability and climate change experts for days of technical exchange, best practice sharing, and commercial development around geosynthetic materials in Sustainability, Transportation Infrastructure, Climate Change Response, Mining, Energy, Environmental Protection, and more.
13 ICG seeks submissions for:
- Paper + oral presentation
- Paper + Poster
- Extended abstract + oral presentation

Important Dates
Abstracts Close: March 31, 2025
Acceptance Notices Issued: July 18, 2025**
Contribution*** Submission Deadline: November 14, 2025
Feedback on Contribution***: March 3, 2026
Final Drafts Deadline: April 30, 2026
Registration Deadline for All Presenters: May 13, 2026
Conference (In-Person): 13 – 17 September 2026
**Invitation letters will be issued one year before the conference to allow for sufficient time for the issuance of a Canadian visa when needed. Please note that obtaining a Canadian visa from some countries may take up to 6 months or longer. We highly recommend that you inquire with the Canadian embassy in your country to assess how much time is typically needed; and communicate with us should you need more than a year.
*** ‘Contribution’ refers to either an extended abstract or paper, as selected by the author.
FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS: Full registration to the event is required for at least one of the presenters/authors by May 13, 2026, to be included in the final program.
Submission Guidelines
For all types of submissions, Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and must state clearly the objectives, methodologies, key results, and conclusions to be presented in person at the conference. Please create abstracts around the idea of 15-minute presentations (including audience Q&A time).

About the Proceedings
The official 13 ICG proceedings will be peer-reviewed, open-source, and indexed. The proceedings will be released digitally under a Creative Commons license through a reputable open-source publisher with tracked, widely indexed citations for impact scoring.
